Hire Information

Function Room

Cost:
Room Hire Friday & Saturday night $200 (Room Hire will be refunded should your bar tab reach or be in excess of $1500). Sunday - Thursday (Room Hire by arrangement). A $100 bond is payable on confirmation of the booking. The bond is refundable providing no damage is done to the Back Bar. Anything broken or damaged will be repaired or replaced at your cost.

Payment:
Payment of the Room Hire confirms your function, all food & bar costs must be paid prior to your function.

Capacity:
We are able to cater for numbers from 50-250. More can be catered for in the Main Bar if required.

Entrance:
The main entrance to the Back Bar is on through the market place.

Drinks:
Prices are the same in the Back Bar as the main Outback Bar (excluding promotions). Depending on the amount of people attending, we are sometimes able to offer discounts on selected products. This can be organised with us before hand on a function to function basis. Functions booked on week nights (eg Wednesday or Thursday night) are subject to better discount than the weekends due to heavy demand for weekend nights.

Bar Tabs/Subsidies:
There are many options if you would like to put some money on the bar for your guests. A bar subsidy is a popular choice to give your guests cheaper drinks (eg beer & wine). Bar Tabs are also popular where a tab is run on a selected range of drinks. Once the tab runs out guests start to pay their own way. If you are unsure on what is best for you we are happy to offer assistance based on our experience with previous functions.

Food:
We offer a variety of food options. The most popular is platter style food, which can be served at any time throughout the night.

Function Platters (Each platter caters for approx 10-15 people)

  • Mixed Savouries (Mini Mince Pies, Sausage Rolls, Mini Quiches)
  • Sausage Rolls
  • Club Sandwiches (a variety of fillings including Ham, Egg, Cheese, Tomato & Salad)
  • Mixed Deep Fried (with Potato Pom Poms, Corn Nuggets, Chicken Nuggets, Fish Bites, Wedges, Fries, Onion Rings, Spring Rolls with Sweet & Sour Sauce & Barbeque Sauce)
  • American Hot Dogs
  • Sausage Bites, Fish Bites and Fries - $39.50
  • Large Supreme Pizza Slab pre-sliced - $45.00

Under Age Guests Attending Functions:
Our licence states that person(s) under the age of 18 must be accompanied at all times by either their parent or legal guardian. There are no exceptions. If the parent or guardian leaves then so must the underage guest.

Times:
While most functions start about 8.00pm, your function may be held at any time.

Security:
We supply 1 door person to welcome your guests and ensure only invited persons are in the Saloon Bar during your function.

Dress:
In keeping with The Outback's dress standard, a neat and tidy standard of dress is essential.

Intoxication:
Any intoxicated persons will be asked to leave the premises as stated in the Sale of Liquor Act 1989.

Decorations & Gifts:
The room is available during the day for you to decorate if you would like to. Please let us know if you would like this and we will tell you the best time to come in. No staples and No glitter please. Please take all your personal property (gifts, decorations, cakes etc) as no responsibility is taken for any property left after a function.

21st Birthdays:
To decrease intoxication levels it is the Host's responsibility to purchase food.

Even though it is a private function, The Outback reserves the right to refuse entry if the above standards are not met. This is in the best interests of all your guests and yours.
