About The Outback

The Outback Inn was founded by Richard Bate in 1995. Aimed at the student market, it quickly gained popularity with high standards of service and successful promotions. A year later The Outback extended and doubled the floor size firmly establishing itself as Waikato's number one student party bar. In November 2004 the bar was further expanded and now includes four bar areas, a gaming room, function area, eight pool tables and a new kitchen. 

Today The Outback is as popular as ever and very proud of its association with Waikato University and the student market.
